SRLPDC places great value on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a main way of developing and maintaining high standards of practice.
In order to maintain their registration, SRLPDC registrants are required to engage in 30 hours CPD during each registration year (1 October to 30 September) from a broad and balanced range of activities. CPD is a process of recording what learning and knowledge practitioners have gained as they work – both formally and informally. It supports practitioners to focus on their development needs and encourage self-reflection as they work further towards raising standards in their profession(s).
SRLPDC has an external CPD checker who is suitably qualified and experienced. They check 100% of submissions and offer support and feedback through the process as a whole.
Welcome to the Scottish Register of Language Professionals with the Deaf Community, SRLPDC. We are a registering body that monitors, supports and regulates language professionals who work within the BSL community across the whole of Scotland. We are known as The Scottish Register for short.
